Dr. Michael Potter
I have been lucky enough to pursue many different opportunities in my life, and I am always eager to meet new people. I decided at a young age that I wanted to pursue the field of dentistry. While attending a Christmas party at the age of 12, I overheard a physician describe the human body and became fascinated. As a child growing up in Spokane, I spent time in the Columbia Valley visiting the communities I am excited to get to know everyone and serve the great town of Wenatchee.
Undergraduate Studies: Bachelor's of Science in Biology/Anthropology with a minor in Chemistry from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA
Graduate Studies: Master's of Business Administration from University of Phoenix in Seattle, WA
Dental School: Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Minneapolis, MN
Moving to Bellingham, I attended Western Washington University and furthered my education in the human body. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Biology/Anthropology and a minor in Chemistry. The road to dentistry was laid with hundreds of hours volunteering at the local community health clinic in downtown Bellingham. I saw firsthand how dentistry can change people's lives.
After talking to many dentists about the benefits of a strong business background, I decided to attend The University of Phoenix and pursue a Master's in Business Administration. This degree coupled with a strong biology/chemistry background was just the ticket to begin studying dentistry.
I moved my family to Saint Paul Minnesota to attend dental school because of the school's strong prosthodontic, oral pathology, and oral surgery programs. I immersed myself in the topic of dentistry, and I attended countless hours of continuing education in addition to the heavy load of dental school. I focused on a wide breadth of topics, focusing heavily on oral surgery and removable partial and complete dentures.
While attending The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, I made it a priority to volunteer as much as possible at the local shelter extracting teeth for people of humbled means. This was an excellent oral surgery experience, and it allowed me to build up my clinical skills. I'm excited to bring a new level of oral surgery procedures to Echo Ridge Dental. I was also very active in the Hispanic Student Dental Association [HSDA] coordinating volunteer events and working as a member of the leadership team; I helped with events at the school, in the community, and at the national level. These experiences helped prepare me to apply exceptional care in a rigorous environment in all areas of general dentistry.
IN THE PRACTICE
I have loved getting to know the lives of the people that I serve. Working with the team at Echo Ridge Dental we have been lucky enough to change people’s lives, and I have loved every minute of it! Expanding the treatment options when I purchased the practice means most of the time patients no longer have to travel to get treatment done. This has been amazingly well-received.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
After graduating, my family and I were excited to find an opportunity in the Wenatchee. I spent time in the Columbia Valley as a young child and young adult. I enjoyed the sun, water, and people.
My boys and I enjoy spending time in the outdoors including camping, hiking, and swimming. We look forward to working in the community and growing.
I have been with the Echo Ridge Dental team since September 2019. I enjoy interacting with our patients and helping them in a variety of ways. I often assist Dr. Potter with various dental procedures. I was raised in Cashmere and now live in Chelan. I enjoy spending time with my family, which consists of my husband, two daughters, and our two dogs. We enjoy gardening, hunting, fishing, spending time on the lake and barbecuing.
I attended school at Wenatchee Valley College and Central Washington School of Dental Assisting. I have been on the Echo Ridge Dental team since September 2019. I currently live in East Wenatchee. I enjoy traveling, camping, going on new adventures and spending time with friends and family. As a bilingual assistant, my goal is to ensure all patients feel welcomed at our practice.
I have lived in the Wenatchee Valley my entire life and I'm still fairly new to the dental field. I enjoy meeting each patient and making them feel comfortable before their visit. I have three children: Natalie, Jason, and Elliott. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, camping or just watching a good movie with my family.
I have lived in Wenatchee since 1978, moving from Springfield Oregon. I have three grown sons and six beautiful grandchildren. I've worked in the medical/dental field since 1980. I worked for Dr. Marc Ball for 18 years and now for Dr. Potter. I love working with patients and meeting their dental needs. I love to bowl, cruise, camp, and volunteer wherever I might be needed. My bucket list would be to skydive, learn to ride a horse, go to Tahiti and to ride in a hot air balloon.
I was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Boston, MA where I got my dental hygiene degree in 2003. I moved to Wenatchee in 2009 with my husband Josh and 2 boys (AJ & Lahziel). As a native Spanish speaker I spend some of my free time volunteering in the Hispanic community which I love doing. I also enjoy traveling, dancing and family time. As a professional, I strive to educate and treat patients in a caring, respectful way.
I have always enjoyed education. I received my Degree in Zoology from Montana State and my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Carroll College. My pride and joy are my children, Samantha who is a teacher and Jed who is a Civil Engineer. When I'm not working you will find me traveling, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, fly fishing, kayaking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. I have been blessed to have so many wonderful patients through the years that have become friends. I can honestly say after many years I still love my career choice.
